I’m Clarice Hebblethwaite and let me tell you a bit about me first so you get a better idea of how I can help coach you on diet and lifestyle for living life.
I’ve always loved preparing food and sharing with friends and family. So it was pretty natural for me to begin my working career as a chef. I loved working in wholefood, vegetarian and French restaurants. And I also I spent a memorable summer running a taverna kitchen on the Greek island of Paxos!
A desire to help people
Bubbling away in me through these years was a desire to help people heal through their diet. So I completed a degree in nutrition and dietetics and then began my work as Consultant Nutritionist and Dietitian.
I love making sense of the science of food and turning it into real ideas and practical advice. Over the past 19 years in this work. I have become well known for my knowledge and practice in digestive health, women’s health and weight and health. And since 2007 I have had a busy and successful private practice in Christchurch, New Zealand, called Dietary Specialists.
My life got very busy running the business, meeting clients, being wife, mum, sister and friend. And just like so many people I see now, I was often working late into the evening. But even then my ‘to do list’ never got any shorter.
I was lucky to get a wake up call in late 2009 and started to truly explore how to live a more holistic and balanced lifestyle.
In 2011 and 2013 I spent some incredible time working at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat in Queensland Australia. Truly my wish is for everyone to experience such a place; eating nourishing food, sleeping deeply, practicing and learning amazing activities for ultimate energy, vitality and health.
Slow the pace
I see so many people living life at such a fast pace and often feeling there is no time for them to cook or sometimes even to eat anymore. Maybe I can’t take you to a lifestyle retreat but I can share the ways with you in ‘easy bite size amounts’ along with photos and videos to make it real.
So here goes to giving you just that!
